Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and support IT infrastructure at a customer site in Sacramento, CA.

The role emphasizes hands‑on hardware, software, and network support, with a focus on incident resolution and service restoration. The position requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and US citizenship, with a minimum of 1+ year of related experience and DoD IA certification (Security+ CE minimum).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience
• Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices
• Must possess appropriate and current DoD IA Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE minimum

Responsibilities

• Perform Service Operations and support Service Transition activities for IT infrastructure including desktop computers, thin clients, servers, telephones, cabling, and administration
• Maintain current technical knowledge to resolve complex issues requiring detailed systems understanding
• Install, upgrade, repair, support baseline equipment and related devices
• Perform daily systems checks and datacenter walkthroughs for alerts/alarms and service degradation
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate, and resolve system service failures to meet timelines
• Provide customer-friendly explanations of issues and resolutions to clients
