Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead day-to-day IT operations, ensuring 24/7/365 availability, performance, and reliability across service towers. You will direct outage responses, partner with engineering teams, and maintain operational dashboards and runbooks.

Required experience includes 8+ years in multi-discipline IT roles and active TS/SCI w/poly clearance.

Qualifications

8+ years of related IT/engineering experience.
Experience in IT operations, security, and cloud environments.
Ability to lead 24/7 operations and incident response.
Active TS/SCI w/poly clearance

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day IT operations for 24/7/365 availability, performance, and reliability across all service towers.
Direct the response to outages and critical incidents including triage, escalation, RCA, and corrective actions.
Partner with engineering teams to integrate new technologies with minimal disruption.
Maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting to leadership; ensure SLAs and KPIs are met.
Manage SOPs, runbooks, and configuration baselines for repeatable service delivery.
Adhere to client policies including RMF, vulnerability management, and audit requirements.
Lead continuous service improvement initiatives using automation, monitoring, and analytics.
Support planning and coordination of upgrades, maintenance windows, and service changes.
