Applied Network Solutions, Inc. seeks a GNOC Tier II Network Technician in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on planning, analyzing, designing, and maintaining complex CAN/LAN networks with MPLS WANs and BGP routing.

Expect hands-on troubleshooting, incident response, and collaboration with vendors to ensure mission-critical reliability. Required are an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, DoD 8140 IAT Level 2, and extensive Cisco/Juniper experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph required.
• 10 years of experience or equivalent education: Doctorate+3, Masters+4, Bachelors+6, Associates+8, HS+10.
• Compliance with DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
• Layer 1–3 network experience.
• Familiarity with OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and ServiceNow.
• Remote support from GNOC location; respond to incidents.
• Configure/troubleshoot VLANs; OSI layer troubleshooting; routing across WAN.

Responsabilités

• Respond to and resolve network incidents; remote support for LAN/WAN devices.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs and layer 2/3 routing across enterprise networks.
• Evaluate new network technologies and advise on integration with existing architecture.
• Manage hardware, software, and configurations; coordinate replacements as needed.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve incidents and optimize performance.
