Job summary

NewGen Technologies has an opening for a Government Network Operations Center (DNOC) Tier II Incident Management Technician in Aurora, CO. The role supports data communications systems, incident troubleshooting, and network event management.

You will ensure devices meet baselines and performance standards, using Microfocus tools, ServiceNow, and OSI knowledge. Key duties include incident ticket handling, VLAN and MPLS troubleshooting, and collaboration with vendors to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
• 10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of work history and education.
• DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
• Respond to, update, and resolve incident tickets within ServiceNow.
• Administer networks including hardware, software, and configurations.
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
• Validate topology drawings and ensure asset management records are accurate.
• Troubleshoot OSI layers 1–3 to resolve faults and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot VLANs (Layer 2) and routing (Layer 3) across the enterprise.
• Conduct MPLS troubleshooting across the WAN and evaluate new technologies.
• Provide recommendations for integration of new technologies into the network.
