Job summary

Leidos is building a brand-new Agile development team to modernize federal IT. You will architect, build, and integrate cutting-edge infrastructure solutions in support of sensitive missions, with partial telework early and on-site work in Washington, DC as the program matures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8–12 years of experience or Master’s with 6–10 years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to complete additional customer suitability screenings.
• Current Security+ certification or higher/equivalent.
• Experience in Agile software development and rapid-learning of new technologies.
• Ability to work in a distributed team and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket for distributed version control.
• Experience developing software on Linux platforms.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles and concepts.
• Strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (CloudBees), Artifactory, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Docker, Ansible and Bitbucket.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of Kafka and Elastic clusters.
• Configure applications to integrate network data into an Elastic (ELK) stack on AWS.
• Ensure deployments meet DoD STIG security requirements.
• Create centralized dashboards and observability solutions for health, performance, security, and cloud spend.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to improve incident detection and reliability.
• Perform cloud and infrastructure cost optimization through resource analysis and FinOps practices.
• Manage enterprise certificate lifecycle operations and automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud, and App Engineering to embed security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums, and collaborate with distributed teams.
• Develop automated tests using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, etc., and troubleshoot issues.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
