Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to support end-user hardware, asset management, and secure communications systems at NMIC in Suitland, MD. The role focuses on maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure and delivering timely technical support for mission-critical operations.

Primary responsibilities include installing and maintaining desktop hardware/software, patching networks, and ensuring security patches are current.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; an Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Certifications listed (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, BICSI ITS Installer 2, CISSP, CASP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware/software in corporate environments.
• Perform network switch patching and configuration.
• Ensure security patches are current and applied.
• Develop test specifications and procedures.
• Assist with design, installation, configuration, accreditation, and scheduling of voice/video systems.
• Support asset management: inventory, relocation, repair, removal, destruction of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and respond to urgent support needs.
• Deliver training to rotating military personnel on system configuration and secure communications.
