Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Computer Support Specialist in Suitland, MD to support end-user hardware, asset and configuration management, and secure communications systems at NMIC. The role involves maintaining IT infrastructure and providing technical support for mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities include hardware/software maintenance, patching, asset management, and training military personnel on system configurations and secure audio/video communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree is preferred.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Windows, Linux, and Unix-based infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience using a ticketing system (ServiceNow or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Microsoft business tools and SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software in desktop environments.
• Perform network switch patching and configuration.
• Ensure security patches are current and applied.
• Develop test specifications and procedures.
• Assist with design, installation, and scheduling of voice/video communications.
• Support asset management including inventory, relocation, repair, and destruction of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and respond to urgent support requests.
• Deliver training to rotating personnel on system configuration and secure communications.
