Job summary

Amentum’s DevOps team out of Hanover, MD is expanding a Software Engineer to contribute across the software development lifecycle for cyber training solutions. You will work with instructors, developers, and sysadmins to deploy reliable training capabilities and scripts, APIs, and UI enhancements.

The role supports Agile practices, familiarity with Linux/Windows, and exposure to virtualization or container tech. TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Or Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience or 18 semester hours of military computer coursework with 2 years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications for cyber training environments.
Assist with implementing technical solutions based on established requirements.
Develop software components, scripts, APIs, and UI enhancements under guidance.
Support operation and maintenance of software development pipelines.
Assist with application deployment and environment configuration.
Contribute to databases, scripts, automation, and data processing solutions.
Support creation and maintenance of realistic cyber training environments and simulations.
Perform software testing, debugging, validation, and analysis of results.
Document designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
