Key Responsibilities
- Manage trust and estate litigation matters from inception through resolution or trial
- Represent trustees, beneficiaries, executors, and institutions in complex disputes
- Handle will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, undue influence matters, and related litigation
- Develop case strategy, oversee discovery, and take/defend depositions
- Appear in court, argue motions, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with estate planning and administration teams on integrated client strategies
- Mentor and train junior associates, providing hands‑on guidance and feedback
- Contribute to the leadership and continued growth of the litigation practice
Qualifications
- 5+ years of trust & estates litigation experience
- Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
- Experience handling high-value, complex matters independently
- Ability to navigate sensitive client dynamics with professionalism and discretion
- Demonstrated interest in mentoring and developing junior attorneys
