Job summary

ModSquad is seeking a Trust & Safety Specialist — Brand Representative to support a leading creative technology company’s content moderation and abuse operations. The role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with an onboarding period in which four days per week in office is required, then three days per week in office.

Desk space is available in San Francisco and San Jose offices. You will review and act on violative content, analyze abuse reports, escalate when needed, and help develop

Qualifications

• Experience with high volumes of content moderation or abuse review.
• Ability to review disturbing content objectively, quickly, and accurately.
• Strong analytical judgment for nuanced, policy-based decisions.
• Detail oriented, highly organized, with documentation under volume and time pressure.
• Excellent judgment and ability to escalate to management/legal when needed.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Full-time availability (40 hrs/week) in SF Bay Area; three days in office after onboarding.
• Desk space available at SF and San Jose offices.
• Willingness to work weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and act on violative and illegal content per client policies.
• Review abuse reports and manage moderation workflows across platforms.
• Escalate urgent requests with clear documentation and urgency.
• Conduct quality control reviews and calibration to ensure policy alignment.
• Develop and deliver training materials for new and existing staff.
• Create efficient processes, documentation, and performance metrics.
• Identify trends and surface insights to inform tooling improvements.
• Communicate with cross-functional partners and leadership.
