Job Overview:
A Hackensack-based law firm is seeking an experienced legal professional with a focus on estate planning and complex estate administration. This in-office role is ideal for a self-driven attorney admitted in New Jersey who is ready to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team. Duties:
Handle sophisticated estate planning matters for high-net-worth individuals and families
Manage probate and estate administration, including complex and contested matters
Advise clients on tax strategies, charitable giving, and wealth transfer planning
Guide elder law and special needs planning as applicable
Collaborate with internal departments and professionals on client matters
Maintain regular communication with clients to deliver updates and manage expectations
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements:
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of New Jersey
Experience in trusts and estates practice
Demonstrated ability to manage estate administration independently
Proactive approach with excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities in legal contexts
Ability to cultivate and manage client relationships effectively
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance
Skills:
Superior verbal and written communication abilities
Keen attention to detail and high professional standards
Familiarity with estate and tax software platforms
Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal aptitude
