Job summary

Michaels in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Store Associate to help customers, stock shelves, and maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

You will assist shoppers, handle transactions, enroll customers in rewards, and participate in truck unloads and store recovery. The role supports omni-channel efforts like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store, with emphasis on friendly service and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Comfort with cash handling and checkout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance; returns/go back process and store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; ensure compliance.
• Interact respectfully with others; model Michaels values.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
