Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, electrical, hydraulic, and suspension systems on heavy and light trucks. Experience with gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems is valued; welding/fabrication may be required.

CDL Class B is preferred but not strictly required, with opportunities for certification support. Role includes performing maintenance, following DVIR and repair orders, and coordinating with drivers and

Qualifications

Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs on equipment to maximize safe operations.
Communicates issues with managers/drivers and discusses preventive techniques.
Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Follows safety policies and maintains a clean work area.
Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
