Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components and systems in heavy- and light-duty trucks. Role includes welding/fabrication and work with gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems.

Responsibilities include interpreting DVIRs, communicating with managers and drivers, completing paperwork, and adhering to safety standards while maintaining a clean work area. CDL-B preferred within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals
• Ability to estimate time and material required for repairs
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on equipment to maximize safe operations. Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR and/or repair orders.
• Communicates with managers/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventive techniques that minimize future repairs.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintains a high standard of Ethics and Dependability.
