Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking skilled Diesel Truck Technicians to diagnose and repair heavy and light duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. You’ll work on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, with welding/fabrication as needed.

A strong emphasis on safety and paperwork completes the role. The ideal candidate will diagnose, communicate, and repair efficiently, ensuring vehicle readiness and reliability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
• Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Ability to guide Assistant Technicians and shop helpers.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to maximize safety and productivity.
• Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
• Complete required paperwork concisely and promptly.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Work with Factory Service Manuals for repairs.
