Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. seeks an experienced truck technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication may be involved.

Role involves interpreting DVIRs, following Service Manuals, and coordinating with managers/drivers on preventive techniques. The company offers ASE certification support and a monthly tool allowance to aid career

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
• Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time/materials.
• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs/maintains equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR and repair orders.
• Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with standards.
• Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintains high ethics and dependability.
