Job summary

Ohio Peterbilt, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking an experienced Technician for our Perrysburg, OH location. You will diagnose failures, recommend repair solutions, and perform repairs to dealer and factory standards.

You’ll work under the Service Supervisor, collaborate with staff and customers, and mentor junior technicians while staying compliant with EPA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines. You will prioritize safety, maintain a clean work area, and report any vehicle changes or safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational diploma or degree in diesel or truck repair preferred.
• Four to six years of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• CDL is recommended; a valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Preferred certifications include MX Engine, Cummins Heavy Duty, Cummins Mid-Range, Allison Transmission, or Eaton Transmission.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Perform repairs precisely and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Work under the Service Supervisor and interact with staff, manufacturers, and customers.
• Mentor less-experienced technicians and stay compliant with EPA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and report issues immediately.

Job Summary:

10:30am - 9:00pm, Monday - Friday

As an experienced Technician at Ohio Peterbilt, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing failures and recommending effective repair solutions. You'll perform repairs precisely and efficiently, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, you’ll work primarily on Peterbilt vehicles, receiving assignments from the Service Writer/Advisor. You’ll also interact with dealership personnel, manufacturer representatives, and customers and have the opportunity to mentor less-experienced technicians. Staying informed about and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines, is crucial. Prioritize safety in all shop and vehicle activities, report any safety issues immediately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. If anything changes in the appearance or condition of a vehicle, report it to department management immediately.
