Job summary

Reliable-Transmission-Service in Dayton, OH, is seeking a mid-level Field Service/Truck Shop Technician (Level B) to perform on-site service and repair of customer vehicles, both in the field and at RTS facilities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and calibrating ECUs/TCMs, performing warranty work, adhering to safety procedures, and maintaining accurate service records while coordinating with supervisors and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–6 years automotive/truck/heavy equipment experience.
• Allison factory maintenance training when required; Allison R&R on 10K products.
• CDL Class A or B with P endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Follows all policies and procedures.
• Must possess all abilities for Field Service/Truck Shop Technician level C.
• Receive schedule of daily assignments from supervisor.
• Must meet or exceed RTS/Allison time guidelines for removal and replacement.
• Calibrate ECUs and TCMs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and install Telma components.
• Electronic troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and separate transmission problems from vehicle problems.
• Perform Allison warranty when required.
• Vehicle system knowledge.
• Organized record keeping or filing as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
