Reliable Transmission Service is seeking a Field Service/Truck Shop Technician to perform on-site repairs and service for customer vehicles, both in the field and at RTS facilities. The role includes hands-on diagnostics of electrical systems and transmissions, with provided online and instructor-led training paths to enhance skills.

No Allison certification is required initially, as RTS offers back-office training and resources to get you up to speed with the equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years of truck or heavy equipment experience.
• General mechanical ability and aptitude.
• Ability to diagnose and repair 12–24 volt electrical systems.
• Laptop and Windows operating knowledge.
• CDL Class B with P endorsement preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Drive to customer sites to perform repairs.
• Diagnose issues using voltmeters and harnesses.
• Repair or replace wiring and transmission components.
• Perform chassis driveline inspections and runouts.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and organize documentation.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.
• Provide recommendations for additional repairs.
• Complete work according to schedule.
