Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company (East) is seeking a Service Advisor to generate, monitor and close repair orders and support the Service Manager in department records. Compensation ranges from $24 to $29 per hour with DOT-regulated, drug-free workplace requirements.

This role involves direct customer contact, coordination with technicians, and managing invoices and time cards. Responsibilities include maintaining work orders, authorizing changes, tracking progress, and promoting labor and parts sales

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a working knowledge of all heavy truck repair methods.
• Must be able to identify and meet Customer needs and requirements.
• Must be a hard worker, self-starter and problem solver.
• Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional phone and customer service skills.
• Appearance must meet company image requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all customer contact with the Service Department including estimates and appointments.
• Generate and maintain all work orders and repair orders and instruct technicians.
• Monitor progress and inform customers of changes in service, costs, or completion time.
• Calculate labor charges and close orders in coordination with the Service Manager.
• Ensure timely, courteous relations with customers and promote services.
• Maintain service rate information and shop literature, and manage related paperwork.
• Handle cash, purchase orders and department files as directed.
