Job summary

Gibbs Truck Centers - Oxnard is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to be the primary liaison between customers and the service department of our dual International and Isuzu truck dealership. You will schedule service, prepare estimates, and manage work orders while driving customer satisfaction and shop efficiency.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in customer-facing automotive service, knowledge of heavy‑duty trucks preferred, and Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a similar role within automotive/service industries.
• Experience with medium and heavy-duty trucks is recommended but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred to serve diverse customers.
• Proficiency with CDK or similar dealership management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in person and over the phone.
• Act as the primary contact for customers throughout the repair process.
• Provide regular updates to customers regarding repair status and completion times.
• Explain repair estimates, diagnostics, and maintenance to customers clearly.
• Open and close repair orders accurately within the dealership management system.
• Gather accurate vehicle information including mileage and maintenance history.
• Translate customer descriptions of problems into actionable technician instructions.
• Schedule service appointments to optimize shop workflow.
