Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Advisor to deliver excellent customer service, write and process work orders, and support OTC transactions across our nationwide truck service network. You’ll leverage your cashier and sales skills to quote, upsell, and coordinate parts with vendors while maintaining a safe, clean service area.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, solid communication skills, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous cashier and customer service experience; experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Presents self in a professional manner to customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong suggestive selling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Write, process, and secure Work Orders and OTC transactions; prepare quotes to customers.
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery.
• Prepare end of shift drop and shift report; understand various payment types.
• Ensure cleanliness of service counters, showroom, and restrooms.
• Maintain safety of customers and team members.
• Provide first-rate service with extensive knowledge of products and services.
• Explain ETAs and obtain Purchase Orders; assist with quotes and payments.
