Gibbs Truck Centers in Oxnard is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to serve as the primary liaison between customers and our service department at a dual International and Isuzu truck dealership.

You will schedule service work, initiate work orders, maintain communication on repair status, and estimate costs while maximizing service sales and technician productivity across vehicle lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive or service industry.
• Experience with medium and heavy-duty trucks (International/Navistar/Isuzu) is recommended but not required.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in person and over the phone.
• Act as the primary contact for customers throughout the repair process and provide regular updates on status and timing.
• Explain repair estimates, diagnostics, and required maintenance clearly to customers.
• Open and close repair orders in the CDK system and gather accurate vehicle information.
• Translate customer descriptions into clear instructions for technicians.
• Schedule service appointments to optimize shop workflow and technician efficiency.
• Promote and sell preventative maintenance services and necessary repairs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for parts and labor and obtain customer authorization.
• Review final invoices with customers and process payments.
• Identify warranty coverage and look up campaigns/recall information in International and Isuzu systems.
