Tidewater Fleet Supply is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team in Virginia. You will assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and online to identify and locate the right parts, provide pricing and product information, and process orders accurately.

Ideal candidates have experience with heavy-duty truck or fleet parts, excellent communication skills, and a sales-minded approach to drive additional customer needs while maintaining top-tier service.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy-duty truck, automotive aftermarket, fleet, equipment, or related parts experience preferred.
• Strong parts identification and lookup skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Sales-minded with ability to identify additional customer needs.
• Attention to detail and order accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and through electronic inquiries with their parts needs.
• Identify and locate correct parts based on descriptions, vehicle/equipment information, part numbers, and application.
• Provide accurate pricing, availability, quotes, and product information.
• Process customer orders, invoices, returns, warranties, and other transactions accurately.
• Help customers identify alternative products when first choice isn’t available.
• Source non-stocked or hard-to-find parts when necessary.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and other locations to meet customer needs.
• Recommend related products and additional items to save time and complete repairs.
• Cross-sell, up-sell, and promote products without sacrificing service.
• Follow up on quotes, backorders, and special orders.
• Communicate order status, delivery expectations, and changes to customers.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Delivery teams for a smooth experience.
• Build relationships with customers and learn their businesses and purchasing needs.
• Help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate customer and account information in systems.
• Keep counter/showroom/parts areas clean and customer-ready.
