Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs to meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading precision instruments, welding when required, and adhering to DOT/ EPA/ ICC/ OSHA regulations. We value hands-on problem solvers who work well in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of heavy-duty trucks or equipment.
• Ability to read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, DMMs).
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures in truck or trailer systems.
• Read precision instruments to assess component condition.
• Apply welding skills where needed and manage DOT/ OSHA compliance.
