Job summary

Knight Transportation, Inc. in El Paso, TX seeks CDL-A drivers to become training mentors for new CDL-A drivers. You will mentor trainees and earn mileage and student-mile pay, plus additional training compensation.

Top trainers earn about $134,300 annually with about $2,550 weekly on average. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with matching, life and disability insurance, PTO, and rider/pet policies. Must meet DOT and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with valid Class A license.
• 6 months of Class A experience in the last year or 1 year in the last 5 years.
• No more than 1 preventable accident in past 2 years and no major accident in past 5 years.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug tests.
• Additional trainer qualifications: 30 days with Knight; 60,000 miles solo & 1 winter season driving OTR.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new CDL-A drivers.
• Share mileage with trainees; supervise training progress.
• Ensure trainee compliance with safety and DOT rules.

We are looking for passionate CDL-A Truck Drivers to become training mentors for new CDL-A drivers. Pass the torch and help develop the next generation of truck drivers while being financially rewarded for your time.

• $134,300 average annual earnings for top performing trainers
• $2,550 average weekly earnings for top performing trainers
• Trainers are compensated for both their miles and their student's miles while training
• $200 weekly pay for having a student on the truck on top of mileage pay
• Trainers earn a matching bonus for all production & safety bonuses their graduated trainees earn in their first 12 months of employment
