Job summary

Hawaiian Housewares, LLC, part of the C&S Family, is hiring an experienced Professional Driver. You will start with a PDT trainer, learn the C&S Way, and operate a CMV to deliver product safely under DOT regulations.

1st shift, Mon-Fri with some weekends; starting pay $33 per hour and a $6,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits start day one including medical, dental, vision, and a company matched 401k.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proven ability to comply with FMCSR and company policies.
• Strong customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicle and deliver cargo safely per regulations.
• Load/unload and manage 3–10 stops daily.
• Inspect equipment and document compliance.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned

Skills
