Job summary

Hawaiian Housewares, LLC is seeking a Professional Driver in Hawaii to start a driving career with a trainer and complete our new hire program. You will perform deliveries, load and unload at customer sites, and maintain DOT compliance while ensuring safety and accuracy in every shipment.

The role requires 21+ years old, DOT certification, and a valid DOT physical exam. Training and travel are involved, with 100% touch freight and a starting pay of $24.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• Electronic logging according to Company policy and FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport and safely deliver product using a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
• Load and unload ambient or temperature sensitive product to customers on 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
