Job summary

Hawaiian Housewares, LLC, part of the C&S Family, is seeking a Professional Driver to join our on-site transportation team in Hawaii. You will train under a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) and complete the new hire program, delivering product safely and on time in compliance with DOT rules.

The role includes 100% touch freight at $24.50/hr with 3-10 daily stops, loading/unloading, equipment checks, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT medical certificate and regulatory compliance.
• Customer-service focus and safety minded.
• FMCSR/DOT/company policies compliance.
• Electronic logging device (ELD) usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck) delivering products.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect equipment and document regulatory compliance.
• Travel required.
• All other duties as assigned.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Must be at least 21 years old. Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.
• Special Skills : Enjoy working with people. Quality and customer-service focused.
• Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Other: : Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• Other: : Electronic logging according to Company policy and FMCSA regulations.

Years Of Experience

• 1-2 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
• 1-2 : Minimum of 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
