Job summary

Hawaiian Housewares, LLC is seeking a Professional Driver to join our Hawaii distribution team. You will start with a trainer, operate a box truck, and deliver to customers across the island, following DOT regulations and company policies. 100% touch freight with approx. 20 stops per day and a focus on safety and service.

Requirements include being at least 21, DOT certified, a valid DOT physical, and strong customer service. E-logs and FMCSA compliance are essential. Full-time shift 1st.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (box truck) and transport product safely.
• Load and unload ambient or temperature sensitive product to customers; ~20+ stops daily.
• Inspect equipment and ensure it is operable per regulatory and company requirements.
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Prior warehouse support preferred

$24.50/hr - 100% touch freight

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (box truck), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 20+ stops per day

• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements

• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements

• All other duties as assigned

• Store : Freezer (-20F to 0F)

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

• Warehouse : Store/Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Must be at least 21 years old. Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements.

Years Of Experience

• 0-1 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience

• 0-1 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment

• 0-1 : Minimum of 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
