Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. in Oakland, MD seeks a Truck Driver to deliver fuel oil, gasoline, LP, and related products to customers in a safe, efficient manner.

The driver will perform pre/post trip inspections, operate pumps, document loads, and maintain vehicles while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations. This role requires a valid hazmat/tanker CDL and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb up to 15 ft.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials and tanker endorsement.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Drive tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers; load at filling rack.
• Perform pre- and post-trip visual inspections of the vehicle.
• Open valves or start pumps to fill tank.
• Read gauges or meters and record quantity loaded.
• Record amounts delivered and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
• Perform daily bulk plant maintenance; basic truck maintenance such as washing.
• Complete required paperwork including shipping papers and hours of duty reports.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DOT regulations for operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous materials, and emergency response.
