Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Tradesman (union) in Milwaukee to join our skilled teams. You will be involved in mechanical installations, servicing heavy commercial and industrial equipment, and working under a labor agreement.

You’ll be mentored and supported by experienced peers while contributing to customer comfort and building efficiency. The role requires a high school diploma, HVAC familiarity, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver’s license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join Local 601 Milwaukee Steamfitters & Refrigeration; a letter of Intent is required from this union.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and service work on HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues; respond to basic warranty calls.
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers informed of progress and issues.
