Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our Milwaukee-area team. You will service light commercial to heavy commercial HVAC systems, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot complex equipment with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

You’ll work with Journeymen and apprentices, expand your skills through STA/Factory certification, and occasionally travel to support branch customers while delivering high-quality, efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of Local 601 Milwaukee Steamfitters & Refrigeration or willing to join.
• Minimum of five years in commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors.
• Travel 15–30% to support activities and service work.
• EPA refrigerants license and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial HVAC systems.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to customers and upsell when appropriate.
• Work with Servicemen and apprentices across local market teams.
• Ensure safety and quality in commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Maintain clear documentation and customer communication of issues and actions.
