Job summary

Johnson Controls in Texas is seeking an experienced Building Controls Engineer to design, configure, and service complex building control systems for our clients. You will develop software, create drawings, and coordinate with sales, service, and subcontractors to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years in construction or HVAC, with knowledge of control theory and building automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years'' experience in construction, service, or HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low voltage subsystems using industry protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and service technically complex building control systems for customer facilities.
• Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bill of materials, and wiring schematics.
• Develop and test software programs to operate building control systems.
• Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installations.
• Assist in site commissioning and be the liaison with subcontractors and customers.
• Provide field change information for as-built documentation.
