Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled engineer to design, configure, and service comprehensive HVAC building control systems at client facilities in the Laredo, TX area. You will develop software, prepare submittals, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure reliable, safe operation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years’ experience in HVAC/building controls. You will contribute to safety-focused, high-quality commissioning and onsite support for diverse building

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, service, or HVAC industries.
Strong knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
Experience integrating low-voltage subsystems using LON, BACnet, and similar protocols.
Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Designs, configures, and services complex building control systems for client facilities.
Develops and tests software programs to operate building control systems.
Prepares drawings, BOMs, and schedules for submittals and installations.
Coordinates with sales, service teams, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
Ensures safety standards and high-quality workmanship on site.
