Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned HVAC Truck Based Service Controls Engineer to design, configure, test and service complete building control systems for commercial facilities. You will develop software, commission systems, and prepare submittals including diagrams, BOMs and schedules.

The role requires strong knowledge of low voltage subsystems, IP networking, and industry protocols (Modbus, LON, BACnet).

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience with programming, installing and/or commissioning controls systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, control theory, and building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low voltage subsystems using Modbus, LON, BACnet; IP networking understanding.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures and services building control systems for client facilities.
• Develops software and performs commissioning to meet facility requirements.
• Creates drawings, bill of materials, schedules for submittals and installation.
• Coordinates material orders and supports system validation and troubleshooting.
• Provides field and owner/operator training on the building control system.
