Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Engineer to design, configure and service complete building control systems. You will develop software, perform commissioning, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure optimal operation and safety.

You will work with low voltage subsystems (lighting, nurse call, data networks) and integrate protocols such as LON and BACnet, translating technical concepts for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least eight years of experience.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, etc.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong computer skills, including CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures and services complex building control systems.
• Develops software and conducts commissioning to ensure proper operation.
• Creates drawings, bill of materials, layouts and electrical schematics for submittals.
• Coordinates and prepares drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Monitors job progress, coordinates with subcontractors and internal teams.
