Chemeketa Community College is seeking a TRIO Talent Search Educational, Guidance, and Career Associate to provide academic support and college preparation guidance to grant participants. The role includes recruiting and retaining students, maintaining records, and coordinating tutoring and workshops to promote success.

The position emphasizes serving low-income and first-generation students, with on-site requirements and occasional evenings/weekends, as part of a comprehensive TRIO program

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social science, advising, counseling, or related field.
One year mentoring youth from diverse populations or tutoring in an educational setting.

Responsabilités

Monitor participants' academic progress and college preparation.
Meet with participants regularly to advise and support college and career exploration and planning.
Provide guidance and make referrals as needed.
Assist with tutoring, workshops, field trips, and other retention activities.
