Job summary

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA seeks a Program Director for TRIO Student Support Services to lead a grant-funded program supporting first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students. You will oversee strategy, administration, staffing, and assessment in line with USDOE rules and MCLA priorities.

The role reports to the Dean of the Library and Integrated Student Support, directs TRIO staff and student workers, and partners with campus stakeholders to promote

Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant field.
• At least three years of program admin and supervisory experience at the post-secondary level.
• Experience with underserved student populations; budget management experience.
• Experience in academic advising and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning, administration, assessment, reporting, and implementation of the TRIO SSS grant in line with USDOE rules and MCLA priorities.
• Manage the program budget and authorize expenditures of federal funds in collaboration with involved departments and offices.
• Prepare and submit the Annual Performance Report (APR) with support from collaborators.
• Develop and implement recruitment/persistence plan for TRIO students; ensure equal access and equity.
• Supervise selection/eligibility of TRIO participants and maintain program data and reports.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate TRIO staff and student employees.
• Allocate advising and engagement caseloads; provide academic coaching and support to 160+ participants.
