Job summary

UMass Boston is seeking a Program Coordinator for its TRIO pre-collegiate Talent Search programs. You will manage student records, ensure data integrity, and collaborate on APR submissions with program leadership and IT.

You will recruit and advise students, maintain alumni relations, and support workshops, field trips, and campus activities in coordination with TRIO and Early College staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, including courses in Counseling, Career Development, Human Services, Special Needs, or related subject area.
• Three to five years of experience within a secondary school or post-secondary institution, preferably in an urban K-12 or higher education setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with low-income, first-generation students.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with TS-eligible students and families; experience with persons with disabilities.
• Knowledge of postsecondary financial aid processes and advising; ability to conduct workshops.

Responsibilities

• Manage student records for two Talent Search grants in each program's database and ensure data integrity.
• Streamline data management practices with program leadership to improve user experience and efficiency.
• Maintain cumulative participant records per APR and federal audit guidelines.
• Assist in completing the APR and other department data reports.
• Assess program compliance and outcomes, supporting continuous improvement.
• Provide monthly/quarterly program reports to school staff as assigned.
