Job summary

South Louisiana Community College is seeking a staff member for the TRIO Programs team in Lafayette, LA. The role focuses on building a partner network, maintaining participant records, and ensuring program compliance while delivering advising and mentoring to TRIO participants.

Responsibilities include outreach, data tracking, and supporting evaluation efforts within Academic & Student Affairs, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with educational institutions and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Personal computer literacy with Internet proficiency.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn case management software.
• Strong project management and collaborative community engagement.
• Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
• Interpersonal skills across all levels of the institution.
• Understanding of federal and state compliance regarding U.S. Department of Education grants.
• Active, unencumbered driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive data base of community partners to support target population.
• Maintains electronic databases of student files and program records.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance and performance reports.
• Assists with outreach, recruitment, and educational activities.
• Provides intrusive advising, counseling, mentoring, and support services.
• Coordinates and maintains collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Supports program assessment, data collection, and continuous quality improvement.
