Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; emphasis preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in not-for-profit/government settings.
• Experience with grants management, financial accounting, and accounts payable.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to client service.
• Ability to analyze problems and craft creative solutions.
• Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Self-directed with strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in MS Office and government/grants software; travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting, grants management, and financial reporting for Tribal governments.
• Prepare polished client deliverables and ensure timely submissions.
• Develop policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborate with clients to improve processes and update policies.
• Lead project start-up activities and follow project work plans.
• Coordinate with clients during audits and help readiness.
• Support practice growth and review team work for accuracy.
• Participate as a core member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasional travel to client locations, trainings, or conferences.
