Job summary

ArtsWA is seeking a Tribal Cultural Affairs Program Liaison to develop and manage statewide grant programs for Native artists, culture-bearers, and creative organizations. The role involves engaging Tribal communities, expanding access to services, and serving as a liaison to agencies and organizations that support Tribal relations.

You will oversee a multi-year budget, coordinate with diverse partners, and travel to Tribal events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Nine years of experience working with federally recognized Tribes and Tribal communities as a primary responsibility.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as ArtsWA’s primary liaison to Tribal communities and related agencies and individuals.
• Develop and manage a $1,650,000 bi-annual program budget with partners and the budget office.
• Engage with constituents, board members, partners, legislators, funders, and the public; public speaking required.
• Coordinate with internal programs and external partners to deliver technical assistance to Tribal communities.
• Promote cultural learning, humility, and government-to-government training within ArtsWA and partners.
