Job summary

Qawalangin Tribe of Unalaska seeks a Program Development Manager to drive the growth, expansion, and long-term sustainability of Tribal programs. You will work across departments to identify community needs, pursue grants, and establish partnerships, translating ideas into actionable projects with clear objectives, budgets, and timelines.

Responsibilities include SOP development, grant narratives, and collaboration with EDCO to align initiatives with Tribal priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, nonprofit management, community development, Indigenous studies, social sciences, education, or a related field.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in program development, grant writing, project management, community development, nonprofit or Tribal programming, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, identify solutions, and maintain communication with supervisors and project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project, data tracking, or grant management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, organize, and maintain SOPs across departments with Directors and EDCO.
  • Identify grant opportunities and develop competitive proposals.
  • Develop, coordinate budgets, timelines, and performance measures for grants.
  • Provide technical support for forms, databases, and workflow tools.
  • Coordinate with Tribal departments to align processes with policy and priorities.
