Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience, with preference for nongovernmental or government work.
• Experience with grants management and government accounting standards is a plus.
• Strong communication, time management and client service skills are essential.
• Ability to travel about 10–15% and work independently or with teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients and ensures timely delivery.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand current practices, identify improvements, and help implement updated policies and procedures.
• Manages project start-up activities, including work plans, schedules, and kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and assists with audit readiness.
• Supports practice growth and reviews work for accuracy.
• Acts as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, trainings, or industry conferences.
