Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to deliver ongoing accounting services and grant management for Tribal government clients. The role emphasizes strong client service, collaboration, and delivering high-value deliverables across engagement teams.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting (or related field) and at least 5 years of related experience, including grants management. Some travel (≈10–15%) to client sites and conferences is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not-for-profit and/or governmental experience.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting including account reconciliation, governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts payable processing.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients; ensures timely client deliverables.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Works collaboratively with clients to understand current business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, assist in defining new processes, and develop updated policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process, which may include helping clients prepare for their audits.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences.
