Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to deliver accounting services and grants management for Tribal government clients. You will handle monthly closings, grants reporting, and financial reporting to key decision-makers, while developing policies and helping clients improve processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, with preferred experience in grants management and government accounting. Travel is expected about 10–15%. Remote work arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting (reconciliation), and government accounting standards implementation is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients across multiple channels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing accounting services and grant management for Tribal government clients.
• Perform monthly closings, grants reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Develop policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborate with clients to improve processes and policies.
• Lead project startups, adhere to schedules, and attend kickoff meetings.
• Coordinate with clients during audits and help prepare for them.
• Contribute to business growth within the practice.
• Travel to client sites or events as needed (approx. 10–15%).
