Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber (DL Required) to trim, top, and reshape trees to provide clearance for utility powerlines. This full-time, non-exempt role involves operating equipment, pruning branches, and assisting with tree-related tasks in various conditions.

The position requires a valid driver's license, readiness to work outdoors, and the ability to perform demanding physical work with proper safety measures in place.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven/slippery surfaces.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Maintains and services tools and equipment.
• Relays hand-signals and directs traffic when blocking street or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs for safety.
• Trains new employees.
• Inspects tools, trucks, and equipment for proper condition.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
