Job summary

Townsend Tree Service in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Foreperson to coordinate operations and lead a tree crew. You will manage daily work, interpret orders, and communicate with the General Foreperson to ensure safety and efficiency on site.

The ideal candidate will have organized leadership, strong communication, and the ability to enforce safety practices. A valid driver's license is required, with DOT/ CDL considerations as applicable, and a high school level education or equivalent is

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• May be required to pass a DOT physical examination to obtain a CDL.
• Legal to work in the United States.
• 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required.
• Conversational knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates operations and oversees tree crew personnel.
• Provides management and leadership to a tree crew while performing assigned jobs.
• Communicates with the General Foreperson daily regarding all aspects of the job.
• Receives and interprets orders for tree trimming and spraying.
• Plans and lays out daily work for the crew.
• Assigns work for individual crew members and directs crews in performing work.
• Enforces safe work practices per company policy and OSHA standards.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew operations.
• Inspects and/or provides repairs to tools, trucks, and other equipment.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crews.
