Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Conway, AR is seeking a Climber to prune and remove trees, following foreworker directions and safety rules. You’ll climb using ropes and saddles, load trucks with debris, and operate various hand and gas-powered tools.

Preferred candidates have vegetation-management experience, willingness to travel for storm restoration, and must maintain first-aid/CPR certification. This full-time role includes health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging for tree trimming and removal.
• Capable of climbing and descending trees with rope and safety saddle.
• Knowledge of emergency rescue procedures and basic first aid.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and safe procedures near conductors.
• Able to work at heights in varying weather conditions; strong balance and coordination.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must wear and use required PPE; travel for storm restoration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees following foreworker directives.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chippers.
• Work from ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas chain saws.
• Inspect tools/equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain safe work areas and communicate hazards to team.
• Perform storm restoration duties as required.
